Working with cassettes
Once again this is another grouping that has varied results due to the wide array of conditions the original media can be found to exist. Most previously recordings from major labels can be found to be in good shape but tape is a media that degradates over time. This time varies on the quality of the media that was originally used not to mention the conditions that they have been stored in over the years.
Specific terms for cassettes
Due to previous experiences, that were less than ideal, we have had to refine the process that we use for this specific media:
1. All tapes are used with the assumption that the owner has already found them to be playable in a standard cassette player.
2. If the plastic casing is broken and still sent for conversion then you will be required to sign an additional release for the possibility of damage to my own equipment. Any cost of repair to my equipment will then be assessed to the customer and the full cost of that conversion will be paid in full regardless of the actual results.
3. I reserve the right to refuse to convert any cassettes on the previous grounds and will assess a flat $25 fee that will include the shipping back to the customer.
